Bi-lingual Therapist

Location: Racine, Wisconsin

Description: Catholic Charities is at present recruited Bi-lingual Therapist right now, this career will be designated in Wisconsin. PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide psychotherapy/counseling and related services, to individuals, couples, families and groups. In both Spanish and English. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This! position reports to either a Clinical Supervisor, who in turn reports to a Ministry Director or this position may report directly to a Ministry Director. This position may supervise students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide therapy/counseling to individuals, couples and families; services may be provided in the office, in the clients’ homes or other settings. 2. Maintain appropriate case recording to include diagnosis, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries which meet appropriate quality assurance standards, outpatient mental health, accreditation, managed care and other applicable standards. 3. May conduct educational and supportive counseling sessions to groups, including critical incident response services. 4. Maintain appropriate contacts and/or consultation with outside professionals, ie: psychiatrists, physicians, attorneys, court systems, school personnel, insurance companies, police officers, or parents of minors, etc. 5. Consult! with supervising psychologist/psychiatrist, as required. 6. P! erform crisis intervention as needed. Make referrals as appropriate. 7. Follow professional protocol in reporting abuse/neglect cases and suicide or homicide threats, in compliance with applicable statutes and ethical standards. 8. May perform mediation, foster care services, parenting education and other group education programs in the community. 9. Remain current in professional area(s) of expertise through appropriate professional development activities, including training, reading, etc. 10. Provide data (surveys, checklists, assessments) to evaluate client outcomes for counseling services. 11. Participate in peer and supervisory consultation and quality assurance activities on a regular basis. 12. May supervise a graduate student, as assigned.

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Schedule appointments if needed on occasion. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Social Work or related counseling field,3000 hour certification,maintain state certific! ation as appropriate,AODA certified prefered, Bilingual in written and spoken Spanish required. WORKING CONDITIONS: This position may work in an office (may have multiple office locations) or school. This position may require visits to the client’s home. This position serves both voluntary and involuntary clients.
