Description: North Central Healthcare is at present looking to employ Mental Health Tech II right now, this position will be assigned in Wisconsin. This position provides support and rehabilitation services in the community to adults with serious and persistent symptoms of mental illness. Services are provided in accordance with C! SP standards. Services are provided through the CSP supported apartment program with emphasis on support and skill training in the consumer's apartment and in the community. Services are provided under the direction and supervision of the community support program director.
This is a 20 hours per week position in our Sturgeon Point, CSP location. 11 pm to 7:30 am with every other weekend requirement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year experience required.
Minimum of 1000 hours of supervised work experience with consumers with serious and persistent symptoms of mental illness
Satisfactory completion of educational curriculum developed by DHSS; or have satisfied training requirements underHSS133.17(4) Wisconsin administrative code for home health aide; or be included in the register of persons under HSS129.10 Wisconsin administrative code who had completed a nurses assistance tr! aining and testing program or only a testing program; or have ! satisfied the requirements underHSS105.17(3)a Wisconsin administrative code to provide personal care services and has completed an additional 1000 hours of supervised work experience with consumers was serious and persistent symptoms of mental illness
Possess a current driver's license in good standing and use of a personal vehicle with auto insurance as required by policy.
Yearly competencies in emergency preparedness, hazard communication, sexual harassment, non-violence workplace training, Corporate Compliance, bloodborne and infection control, and Wisconsin caregiver resident rights.
Must be able to physically and mentally perform all duties related to this position.
Must pass criminal background check.
Must be physically able to perform work duties.
Must be able to follow written and oral direction in English.
Must provide proof of employment eligibility.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB:
Provides ong! oing support services to consumers to promote independence and recovery within the community
Activities of daily living services to include skill training support and supervision to assist consumer in gaining skills in grooming and hygiene, housekeeping, cooking, grocery shopping and laundry completion.
Support and supervision and skill training with consumers to access community social and recreational activities
Support and skill training to access transportation opportunities
Support and supervision to access medical/dental services
Collaborate with CSP team and provide input during recovery planning
Medication compliance monitoring under the direction of community support program registered nurse, program psychiatrist, program director, clinical coordinator
Symptom management/supportive therapy
Responds to direction of multi-disciplinary team by fulfilling service delivery weekday evenings and weeke! nds, and weekend evenings as per schedule. The time of service, length ! of time to be spent, and passed will be flexible determined during team meetings and under the direction of the program director.•
Knowledge of community mental health
Knowledge of community resources
Ability to establish rapport with consumers with serious and persistent symptoms of mental illness
Document and medical record individual services per NCHC policy and MA guidelines
COMPENSATION:
Competitive hourly wage.
