Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens

Adult Psychiatrist Inpatient call duties needed in Northern Wisconsin for various immediate and upcoming dates of coverage. There is separate call coverage dates only. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating menta! l illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist mus! t also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
