We are currently searching for Therapeutic Assistant (TA's) with both full time and part time openings availalble.
PRIMARY DUTY
Responsible for providing daily client monitoring, guidance and education, promoting a safe, secure and therapeutic milieu environment, and participating in the therapeutic milieu, care program and community. This individual will provide crisis intervention and milieu management as indicated, work as a member of the interdisciplinary care team under supervision of the Therapeutic Assistant Manager with the psychiatrists, clinical therapists, program staff, nutrition team, and nursing staff.

Establishes therapeutic relationships with clients that support the care plan Provides individual and client support through group monitoring. Actively participates in the maintenance of a structured and safe milieu and follows all policies and procedures related to client/milieu safety Attends required group supervision and manger with Therapeutic Manager Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team primarily to plan and coordinate care based on client's needs; al so utilizes the clinical record as a source of information Completes all required documentation according to policies and procedures and ensures that daily document includes interventions the client has utilized toward meeting their care goals at the direction of the Clinical Care team. Maintains client safety by appropriate implementation of safety procedures and precautions Completes safety rounds and documentation in real time Obtains clients weights and vitals Facilitates client transitions throughout the shift Provides meal support when indicated Provides bathroom monitoring when indicated Provides activity and group facilitation when indicated Implements client care plans Supports the nursing staff by identifying the precursors of potential crisis and unsafe client behavior, and intervenes to de-escalate clients utilizing the least restrictive means of intervention Follows the identified actions for any corrective action plan and quality improvement plans at the direct ion of the nurse and clinical staff. Refers any client complaint or dissatisfaction to the nurse of on that shift for potential resolution. Assumes the role of client advocate according to guidelines in the Client Rights, Confidentiality Act and Client Grievance policy. Demonstrates effective communication during the shift as follows: Listens to report and utilizes information to provide quality care; Communicates milieu and client issues to the care team members during the shift and problem solves effectively; Gives written/verbal report to the oncoming shift staff; Ensures compliance with confidentiality of client information; Checks email once per shift at minimum to ensure up to date on all communications. Reports changes in client status to the Therapeutic Manager, Clinical Therapist and/or RN and implements modifications in the care plan Monitors and records client's progress with respect to individualized care goals Recognizes the precursors of potential crisis and un safe client behavior and intervenes to de-escalate clients utilizing the least restrictive and most therapeutic means of intervention. Follows facility policies and procedures, including CPI training, to prevent harm to clients or others using the least restrictive and most therapeutic means of intervention Completes all required documentation according to policies and procedures and ensures that daily clinical notes document the client's progress in meeting their care goals. Promotes exceptional customer service throughout the program Facilitates active client participation in the care process Demonstrates knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; the assessment and treatment of behavioral health disorders; and familiarity with the principles of Aloria's philosophy. Develops knowledge of eating disorders, chemical dependency and other relevant issues and demonstrates competency in pro viding and implementing client care.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
Associate Degree in Psychology or other relevant field, Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, is preferred Wisconsin CNA certification and currently on Registry, is preferred if applicable 1-2 years of experience in Mental Health, particularly with Eating Disorders and Substance Abuse, is preferred Experience in Healthcare in direct provision of care to patients Current Certification in health care provider CPR, is preferred Current Certification in Client Management Intervention (obtain within 90 days of hire) Age/Dev., Cultural Awareness Training
