Rogers Memorial Hospital, the leader in Behavioral Health Services, has a full time Psychiatric Technician (CNA) position available on the PM shift. This position is located at the Milwaukee ca! mpus on the Child/Adolescent Inpatient unit.
The Psychiatric Technician performs general patient care services and provides support to the Clinical Services department. Role functions are governed by the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act , the Wisconsin Administrative Code , Professional Standards for Nursing Practice , and the corresponding policies and procedures of Rogers Memorial Hospital (RMH).
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
Assist RN in initial admission duties and documentation as required
Collect and record pertinent data to contribute to nursing team
Act as an advocate for patients.
Assist in the patient orientation process.
Collect and record data to contribute to the treatment plan.
Assist with patient care.
Identify potential patient care problems and collaborate with the treatment team to prevent adverse patient outcomes.
Follow the treatment plan, report and record patient ! behaviors, interactions and responses to intervention.
Provide assistance with instruction in the following experiential activity categories as directed by the experiential therapist and/or supervisor:
Adhere to the Nursing department’s and Hospital’s standards of nursing practice and the standards of patient care.
Participate in the Performance Improvement program on an ongoing basis.
Participate in projects, tasks and continuing education opportunities to improve professional skills and unit/department systems.
Assist team in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Actively participate in patient milieu
Other duties as assigned

! Education/Training Requirements:
The qualified candidate will be a high school graduate (Bachelor’s Degree preferred). WI CNA certification is required. Experience working with identified population, particularly those with mental health issues preferred.
The ideal candidate will bring a patient-centered approach to care along with creative problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills. He/she must be able to professionally interact with individuals across the developmental continuum, with empathy towards mental health.
