Rogers Memorial Hospital, the leader in Behavioral Health Services, has a part-time Residential Counselor position available at its Oconomowoc Campus. ! This position is located at our Delafield location which treats patients 18 and older with OCD and anxiety disorders.
The Residential Counselor works with the respective program manager and director of Residential Services to assist in overseeing the residents’ care, programming, activities and other related services to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Job Responsibilities
Provide treatment services to residents including participation and facilitation of groups
Empower residents to attend programs including groups, activities and appointments
Orient and educate new residents
Adhere to treatment philosophy, structure of the program and individualized treatment plans
Monitor the safety of the residents
Complete documentation related to residents within the medical record including:
Daily flow sheets
Daily treatment progress notes
Medications
All ot! her duties as assigned
This is a great opportunity to! work with an inter-disciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses and masters prepared counselors. This team specializes in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Required Skills
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field preferred (psychology, sociology, social work).
Experience working with the identified population is preferred.
Hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license. May be required to have driving record approved by the Hospital’s insurance carrier.
American Heart Association CPR certification or American Red Cross Professional Rescue needs to be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment start date.
