DUTIES:
The Milwaukee Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting for a proven leader to serve as Co-Division Manager of the Ment! al Health Division providing assistance and direction to our full conti! nuum of mental health programs. Our Mental Health Division encompasses the Milwaukee VAMC and four Community Based Outpatient Clinics (approximately 350 employees). The medical center is a highly affiliated, IA, tertiary care center and offers a full spectrum of comprehensive medical, surgical and behavioral health care.
Due to the complexity of the mental health programs, the Mental Health Division is lead by Co-Division Managers; the applicant will partner with the existing Co-Manager who is a psychologist. The Mental Health Division includes the following programs:
The Acute Mental Health program at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center offers both locked and unlocked inpatient treatment units, which provide acute mental health care and alcohol and drug detoxification treatment. In addition, consult liaison services are provided throughout the medical center.
The Mental Health Outpatient programs located in Milwaukee, as well as in four CBOC's, offer! a wide range of services including Clozaril Clinic, Crisis Intervention, Family Therapy, Geropsychiatry, Group Therapy, Individual Psychotherapy, Marital Counseling, Medication Management, Methadone Maintenance, Neuropsychological Assessment, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Treatment, Primary Mental Health Care, Psychological Testing, Substance Abuse Treatment and Aftercare, and Women's Sexual Trauma treatment.
The Mental Health Rehabilitation Sections are designed to meet the needs of veterans with a wide variety of psychosocial concerns. The following types of programs are provided: Substance Abuse Rehabilitation, PTSD and Mental Health Rehabilitation are provided in our 204 bed Domiciliary; various homeless initiatives, including HUDNASH and grant and per diem partnerships; and our Veterans Industry program provides vocational rehabilitation designed to reintegrate veterans into rewarding employment.
Applicants for this position need to have significant! leadership experience as well as a mental health care background. This! position is open to all of the four core mental health professional disciplines: nursing, psychiatry, psychology, and social work with demonstrated success in managerial, clinical, research, and/or teaching endeavors. A psychiatrist or psychologist Co-Division Manager will hold joint appointment and departmental leadership position with the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, while a nurse or social worker Co-Division Manager would be required to work closely with the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine.

Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropri! ate State-accrediting agency
and
accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)

Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia. In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.

Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
NURSE IV
- Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately
experience OR Do! ctoral degree in nursing or related field with approximately

experience.
