Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A Psychiatrist is need! ed in southern part of Wisconsin for an immediate and ongoing part time opportunity. Looking for 16 hours a week, preferably Tuesday and Thursdays, 9-5, light call on weekends, evenings. The physician will see adult patients, perform evaluations consults and medication management. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management. !
