A Mobile Crisis Associates level performs mental health assessments of individuals in the community who are in crisis to determine need for services with the goal of providing the most effective treatment in the least restrictive setting. Mobile Crisis staff provides crisis intervention, crisis counseling for individuals, families; referral and short term follow-up; and community consultation and eduction. Perform crisis line suicide risk assessments and evaluate need for hospitalization and triage to the most appropriate setting. Cond! uct duties under the supervision and back-up of licensed psych! iatrist.

JOB-SPECIFIC REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Answer crisis line calls performing risk assessments.
Conduct clinical mental health assessments and determine disposition.
Conduct individual assessments in community settings (Nursing Homes, Schools, Hospitals, Jails,
Group Homes, etc).
Provide consultation/education about NCHC programs to intereseted community members. Consult with peers, supervisors, and other professionals regarding cases or programs.
Complete all required documentation.
Work closely with Law Enforcement to determine approriateness of chapter 51 detentions.
Relevant experience with mental health, AODA and developmental disabilities. Crisis intervention and assessment skills. The position requires an ability to work as a team with a variety of agencies and providers and to be able to demonstrate independent decision making and flexibility.

MINIMUM TRAINING, LICENSURE AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Associates degree in Social Work, Nursing, Health & Human Services or related field and a minimum of one year experience providing mental health services.
Benefici! al to have experience with psych medications, crisis intervention, a kn! owledge base of mental health, alcohol/drug, developmental disabilities and work with children/adolescents. Additionally, having knowledge of WI State Statute Chapter-51, HFS Chapter-34 is of considerable advantage.
Valid Wisconsin drivers license.
Own vehicle with appropriate auto insurance
Physically capable to perform job duties. Generally non-strenuous tasks sitting, interviewing, using a computer, walking, driving, standing for group presentations. Conventional office (non-smoking) enviornment. Potential for threatening behaviors from clients with mental health, developmental or AODA issues .
