(MHSI) is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) that operates from two (2) sites: The Isaac Coggs Heritage Health C! onnection at 8200 W. Silver Spring Drive and the MLK Heritage Health Center at 2555 N. Martin Luther King Drive.MHSI offers a range of primary health care services including Medical, Dental, Behavioral, Womens Health, Benefit Determination, and Pharmacy. FQHCs service everyone regardless of income, or third party coverage, and seek to provide high quality care in accessible locations and at convenient times. Our particular sites primarily target the residents of Milwaukees north side, but service patients countywide.FQHCs are unique in their delivery of care, patient population and provision of services. FQHCs seek to provide quality care in an underserved area to the uninsured or underinsured populations that would otherwise not have access to care.
MHSI is currently recruiting for the following position:
Behavioral Health Clinical Director
Responsible for ongoing compliance documentation with state licensing and regulations specific to behavio! ral health services and providers.
Assist in the recruitme! nt, screening and recommendation of behavioral health personnel for employment.
Contribute feedback for annual performance appraisals to CMO for behavioral health providers and to Specialty Clinic Manager for behavioral health support staff.
Responsible for the provision of on-call coverage and assists Specialty Clinic Manager in coordination of the schedules of behavioral health staff, as to special activities, vacations, and other leaves.
Assist MHSI Senior Leadership with the identification of the community's behavioral health needs and care gaps.
Oversees behavioral health chart audit, peer review and other clinical behavioral health care review processes in coordination with Quality Improvement Manager.
Responsible for the interpretation of the Interdisciplinary Continuous Quality Improvement Team's findings of care audits and formulating any corrective plans where deficiencies may be identified. Accountability for corrective plan results cannot be ! delegated.
Along with Specialty Clinic Manager, responsible for the investigation of all patient complaints/grievances and report findings to the Interdisciplinary Continuous Quality Improvement Committee.
Responsible for coordinating ongoing plans of behavioral health in-service training and insures that the behavioral health personnel are participating in continuing education activities.
Develop plans for provider's involvement in community service activities designed to enhance public awareness of health issues or increase awareness of the behavioral health services available through the centers.
Assure behavioral health policies and protocols are consistent between center sites and in alignment with MHSI organizational policies and procedures.
Develop behavioral health consultative and referral linkage arrangements with local behavioral health providers, which reflect patient care needs and enhance capacity of behavioral health providers.
Assure ! the behavioral health program is integrated with the primary care and s! pecialty clinics within Milwaukee Health Services, Inc.
Assist in grant writing or program development along with required reporting for funding opportunities as requested by MHSI and/or in collaboration with community partners.
Assists Specialty Clinic Manager in accurate and timely behavioral health department billing procedures, which includes coordination of upgrades and implementation of new insurance programs.
Attend meetings and any assigned committees, as assigned.
Education:
Graduate and completion of an accredited Medical School and Residency Program for Psychiatry currently licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin.
Experience:
Previous experience should be from a clinic or private practice setting, as well as previous supervisory experience, a must.
Travel and hours of work may vary based on Organizational need.
