Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist, Registered is responsible for providing assessment and treatment of Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Program patients as part of a seamless interdisciplinary team approach. Focus is on evaluating/assessing, planning and implementing individual and/or group patient intervention programs aimed at improving patient's adaptive functioning in occupational performance categories including self-care, work, academic, homemaking, leisure and play skills, based on the patient's developmental (age appropriate) level. Able to use purposeful activity/exercise and therapeutic modalities to improve functioning of patients. Improved functional performance components include physical, sensory-integrative, emotional, interpersonal and/or cognitive status.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved University O.T. Program at the Bachelor's level
Completion of required internships
Currently certified with AOTA in good standing; and ! current certification by the State of Wisconsin, or eligible f! or Wisconsin certification.
One year experience working with children and adolescents in the mental health field.
