Description: Allied Health Search is in need of Physician Assistant - Psych Locums / Perm NP in WI - WI right now, this job will be presented in Wisconsin. Provides appropriate mental health services to individuals, medication management including prescribing pharmacological agents, treatments and non-pharma! cological therapies for clients of Brown County Human Services, through the development and implementation of service plans. Provides consultation to the nursing staff and the non-medical staff of the Community Treatment Program. Provides community education and consultation regarding mental health issues. Orders and interprets laboratory tests and provides diagnosis of clinical conditions.- Hours are 8 â€" 4:30 generally- One or two evenings per week, mutually agreed on to meet client needs- No shift work or call responsibilities- Average number of appointments in an 8-hour shift is 12 (8 med check appts of 15-20mins & 2 are 1hour-long intake appointments)- Outpatient clinic â€" no hospital responsibilities- Generally about 25 patients scheduled per 8-hour day- Licensed in WI- Licensed with DEAKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Knowledge of psychopathology, psychopharmacology, psychotherapeutic techniques- Current knowledge of the terminology, theory, techniques and practice! of professional nursing- Knowledge of medical conditions whic! h may stimulate mental or emotional problemsESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Screens and evaluates individuals to determine appropriate services based on individual client needs- Provides treatment to assigned clients, including medication management.- Provides therapy to individuals, couples and families in individual and group modalities of psychotherapy.- Provides clinical consultation and supervision to CTP nursing staff and case managers.- Coordinates clients' medication regime with the pharmacist, laboratory personnel, nursing staff and appropriate CTP staff.- Provides back-up for psychiatrists, nurses and case managers as needed.- Perform Preceptor duties for college students.- Collaborates with physicians and psychiatrists to ensure proper care, laboratory testing and necessary interventions for clients on specific medications.- Orders and interprets laboratory tests to evaluate and diagnose clinical conditions.- Prescribes pharmacological agents, administers psychotropic medica! tions
