The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for the transcribing of patient health information: medical, psychiatry and all other transcribing tasks for physicians and other providers.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of Medical Transcribing Program, Non-Tradition Medical Transcribing program, or equivalent in education or experience. (Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic).
License/Certification: Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) preferred.
Experience: Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology. Must be able to type 60 wpm (corrected).
Exclusion from Federal Programs: Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Clinic's Compliance Office if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program.
