DUTIES:DUTIES: Candidate performs all duties and responsibilities of a staff psychiatrist as specified in approved clinical privileges. Duties include, but are not limited to, outpatient care,telemental health and psychiatric consultations. Primary duties will be assigned by the Clinical Director, Mental Health Service/Associate Chief of Staff for Mental Health or designee. Must be clinically competent to perform examinations, diagnosis, therapeutic treatment, be effective in handling emergencies, patient management and document in patient records. Must be effective in teaching (patient education and coworkers). Must be effective in planning, using administrative judgment and should have sound decision making skills. Must be emotionally stable, dependable and adhere to ethical standards.If you have qualifying education debt you may be eligible to apply for the federal Education Debt Reduction Program upon permanent appointment, based on availability of funds.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
QUALIFICATIONS:* U.S. Citizenship.* Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.* Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
