Position Summary:
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist provides patient care in accordance with accepted Occupational Therapy techniques, upon the referral of a physician or physician's assistant. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist performs initial evaluations, develops treatment plans and sets appropriate goals to assist patients and families in achieving the child's maximum functional level. The Pediatric Occupational Therapist also actively participates in ADD and Feeding Clinics, including evaluati! on and treatment during shared appointments with a Neuropsycho! logist, Dietician, and Speech and Language Pathologist.
Required
4 year degree from an approved school of Occupational Therapy
Wisconsin State licensure.
Ability to travel to other sites.
Ability to communicate well with families and children.
Pediatric Occupational Therapy Experience
Experience with evaluation and treatment of children for a variety of pediatric sensory and neurological conditions and proficient in administration and scoring of developmental tests.
Preferred Qualifications:
Outpatient Orthopedic experience
Experience with physical agents/modalities
Advanced upper extremity orthotic fabrication skills (including static, static-progressive and dynamic orthoses.
Psychiatry background helpful

Ability to hear and converse on the phone and in person.

Ability to lift and to push/pull boxes, charts or therapy equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Directly working with patient handling / ambulation tasks.
Ability to work with and to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when working with bloodborne pathogens or other chemicals.
Ability to drive a personal vehicle on a weekly basis to attend meetings or float to another site.
