Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 10/01/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A Psychiatrist is needed Southeast part of Wis! consin for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8a-5p, with weekday call 1:4. The physician will see adult patients, perform evaluations, consults and medication management. The site utilizes EMR's and is willing to train. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
