Description: Walworth County, WI is hiring Human Service Specialist III - Behavioral Health (Health & Human Services) right now, this vacancy will be reside in Wisconsin. This position is responsible for providing assessment, treatment, psychotherapy, case manageme! nt, crisis intervention and community resource development for a broad range of consumers. This may include both severely mentally ill consumers as well as those dealing with adjustment issues. This may also include a variety of treatment modalities including individual, couple, family or group therapy and may be conducted in tandem and consultation with an in-house family-based team of other Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) treatment staff members. Consumers range in age from young children to the elderly. This position is also responsible for the support and education of significant others and family members of the consumers. These treatments are provided in accordance with best practice and professional ethics and boundaries. Clinical responsibilities include intake and emergency detention (Chapter 51) assessments and court appearances if necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Provide, plan and implement outpatient assessments, mental status, interventions and therapy through individual, family or group therapy. Complete court reports and communicate with the court and other government or private agencies as required for emergency detentions, guardianships or protective placements. Develop, monitor and adjust treatment interventions to meet the needs of the individual or his/her capacity to respond to the treatment. Provide services (including intensive services for individuals and families) in a variety of settings includ! ing office, consumer homes, hospitals, law enforcement facilities, etc. Treatment planning and monitoring will be conducted in tandem and consultation with in-house family-based team of other DHHS treatment staff members. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with department, state and federal standards including Chapter 51, DHS 35, HFS 75 and others. Provide education to the consumer as well as the consumer’s support system to enable the consumer to reach his/her maximum potential. Provide crisis intervention through being on call or performing intake functions on a rotating basis. Maintain case records in accordance with guidelines under HIPAA and other federal and state regulation. Provide collaboration with law enforcement, probation and parole agents, schools, employers and other treatment providers as requested and released by the consumer. Provide case management services for individuals residing in treatment centers. Coordinate consumer use o! f other department programs and outside community resources. Participat! e in staffing consumer reviews and in-service trainings to maintain standards and certifications. Participate in face-to-face supervision or staffing at a minimum of 30 minutes per week with a psychologist or psychiatrist to review treatment planning and have treatment plans signed. Participate in at least one hour per week of face-to-face supervision or team staffing facilitated by the Behavioral Health Manager/Supervisor. Supervision will include, but not be limited to, case reviews, case assignment, record review, treatment planning and consultation.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in social work, couns! eling, psychology or related field from an accredited program required. The following State of Wisconsin Credentials are required at time of hire: Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor. Substance Abuse Specialty Authorization, Substance Abuse Counselor in Training, Substance Abuse Counselor or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor credentials preferred. 3000 hours post degree supervision and ability to accept insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare also preferred. Experience using the Functional Family Therapy model preferred. Interactions and Communications
Provides specialized information and/or recommendations to others regarding an area of expertise. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
Proof of minimum liability insurance coverage. Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor required. Wisconsin Substance Abuse Specialty Authorization, Substance Abuse Counselor in Train! ing, Substance Abuse Counselor or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor pr! eferred.
